OTF-BEA…(8) Belt skimmer

The function is to measure the amount of oil skimmed off by the oil skimmer. This happens when the oil flows through the scrapers.

The oil sensor is built into the scraper so that it analyses the collected oil for water content.
The speed of the oil scraper is regulated by the sensor. So when there is no more oil, it automatically slows down to a very slow operation where no water is collected, and as soon as it detects oil again, it speeds up until the oil is removed.

The oil sensor is self-cleaning, so on average it only needs to be wiped manually every two months.
